What is Insights Discovery?
Insights Discovery is a powerful and interactive tool that improves communication, decision-making, and performance to achieve team and organizational goals. Based on the psychology of Carl Jung, Insights Discovery is a journey of self-awareness that can help you understand yourself and others.
The Insights Discovery methodology uses a simple and memorable four color model to help people understand their style, their strengths and the value they bring to the team. We call these the color energies, and it’s the unique mix of Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green, and Cool Blue energies, which determines how and why people behave the way they do.

Learn about our Insights Discovery process below, which we have outlined depending on whether you are signing up as an individual or looking to bring Insights Discovery to your team. Click on the buttons to navigate to that specific set of instructions.
Discovery Insights for Individuals
Step 1: Enroll Yourself or a Direct Report for Insights Discovery
To enroll, complete the Insights Discovery Open Enrollment form. When registering you will be asked to select an Open Enrollment Discovery Session to attend.
Make sure you have permission from your leader to attend this session as the fee is billed to your department.
2023 Insights Discovery Open Enrollment Session Dates
Tuesday, April 18, 2023: 1:00pm – 3:00pm CST
Wednesday, May 17, 2023: 8:00am – 10:00am CST
Step 2: Take the Online Evaluator
After you register for an Insights Discovery Session, you will be sent a short online evaluator in which your responses are measured to create a customized and unique profile.
Step 3: Attend the Insights Discovery Session
After completing the online evaluator you will attend the two-hour open enrollment session where you learn the foundation of the Insights model, discover your personal preferences, and develop strategies for effectively working with others.
Insights Discovery Session
Basic Profile- When you sign up as an individal for one of our open enrollment sessions, you will receive our basic profile.
- Discover your strengths, weaknesses, preferred communication style, possible blind spots, and suggestions for development.
- Recommended for individual contributors, managers, and supervisors.

Discovery Insights for Teams
Step 1: Request a Team Discovery Session
Register your team for one of our Insights Discovery offerings. When registering, you be need to select the session type appropriate for your team. Three different session types are available:
Insights Discovery Session
Basic Profile- Discover your strengths, weaknesses, preferred communication style, possible blind spots, and suggestions for development.
- Individuals on your team who have completed a basic profile in the last 5 years do not need to retake the evaluator, however they will need to bring their profile to the session.
- Recommended for individual contributors, managers, and supervisors.
Transformational Leadership Session
Transformational Leadership Profile- A multi-dimensional approach to helping you develop as a leader, increase your self-awareness, and motive others to be their best self. Learn how to lead effectively at the individual, team, and organizational level.
- To participate in this session, you must have attended an Insights Discovery Session and completed a basic profile in the last 5 years.
- Recommended for director level and above.
Insights Follow-Up Session
Personalized Team Education- Teams are encouraged to deepen their learning of Insights through our follow up sessions, designed to meet your needs.
- Particpants do not need to complete a new profile for this option, however, each participant must have attended an Insights Discovery Session and completed a basic profile in the last 5 years.
- Leaders can work with our OD&L consultants to customize a follow-up session to best meet the needs of your team.

Step 3: Attend Your Insights Discovery Session
In your session, an OD&L consultant will introduce your team to the foundation of the Insights model, discover personal preferences, and develop strategies to connect with one another.
Optional: Register for a Follow-Up Session
